Creating respectful and equitable communities requires action beyond the walls of TAFEs. The Industry and Community domain of the Respect and Equality in TAFE model recognises that TAFEs have a unique opportunity to influence gender equality through the engagement they build and maintain with industry employers, community organisations and other stakeholders.

This webinar will explore how TAFE's external partnerships and engagement can contribute to the prevention of gender-based violence. Presentations will consider how industry and community engagement can influence workplace culture and support shared responsibility for creating respectful and inclusive environments.

Together, we will explore:

  • The purpose of the Industry and Community domain within the Respect and Equality in TAFE model.
  • The role of partnerships in advancing gender equality and preventing gender-based violence.
  • Approaches for embedding gender equal and intersectional considerations within industry and community engagement.

This webinar is intended for TAFE staff and leaders who work at the intersection of education, industry and community, including those responsible for industry partnerships, student pathways, workforce development, equity and inclusion, work placements, stakeholder engagement and community partnerships.
