Unpacking Violence: A storytelling resource for understanding nonphysical forms of abuse and the gendered drivers of violence against women

Summary

This resource supports practitioners to use narrative stories as the basis for unpacking and exploring different forms of non-physical abuse, their dynamics and impacts, and how they illustrate the gendered drivers of violence against women.

There are seven narratives. Each considers a different form of violence against women, in different settings and with different perpetrators.

Four of the narratives have been developed into supporting animations which you can view below. The animations are designed to be used alongside the PDF resource and not as standalone videos.

Download the Unpacking Violence resource here or at the bottom of the page.
