In this submission, Our Watch provides feedback in response to an exposure draft of the Anti Discrimination Amendment Bill 2022 (NT).

As outlined in the submission, Our Watch welcomes the expressed purpose of proposed reforms to the Anti-Discrimination Act 1992 (NT), including in particular the inclusion of gender as a protected attribute and the introduction of a positive duty to eliminate discrimination, sexual harassment and victimisation. These proposed reforms are consistent with a preventative approach to sexual and sex-based harassment and discrimination.
