Rebecca Poulson is an award-winning author, keynote speaker and domestic violence survivor-advocate.

On the day of Rebecca Poulson’s 33rd birthday, her father, Peter, four-year-old niece, Malee and one-year old nephew, Bas were murdered. The murderer had been part of her family – her brother-in-law, Neung, the father of the children.

Through her tragedy, Rebecca has gone on to tell her story of homicide – the deep grief, the police investigations, the intense media scrutiny, the court case as well as her own journey to healing.

Rebecca has refused to let her traumas define her and now champions efforts in the fight against violence against women and their children.

Rebecca is based in New South Wales.

One of the ways I chose eventually to react to what had happened to me is to take some steps towards reducing what is happening to women and children.
