Expressions of interest open

Expressions of interest are now open for Our Watch's Change the story at your TAFE training.

This training is being offered to TAFEs free of charge through Commonwealth funding under the National Plan to End Violence against Women and their Children 2022–2032.

About this training

This training supports participants to develop an understanding of the drivers of gender-based violence and their relevance in TAFE settings, while building confidence to communicate their organisation’s role in prevention to key stakeholders.

Participants will learn to identify gender inequality and drivers of violence within their own TAFE, reflect on the importance of collective action and cultural change, and strengthen their motivation to contribute to primary prevention efforts.

The training also aims to support TAFEs to actively lead initiatives that promote safer, more equitable and inclusive TAFE environments.

Who should apply

This training is designed for everyone working at TAFEs, including professionals, teaching staff, and executive teams. This training can also be delivered to dual sector institutions, but please note that the examples will be TAFE-based.

Training format

The training is a 3-hour session that can be delivered either online or in person. It accommodates a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 30. Our Watch is able to offer up to 10 trainings free of charge until February 2027.

Applications close at 5:00pm, Friday 19 June.
