Senior Communications Advisor - Corporate Communications

Our Watch is a national not-for-profit established in 2013 to drive nation-wide change in the culture, behaviours and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children.

Funding for programs and campaigns for the next financial year has been confirmed and an opportunity now exists to be a part of the Our Watch Media & Communications team. This team is responsible for engaging people in action to prevent violence against women through marketing campaigns, media engagement and corporate communications.   

The Media and Communications team is looking for a Senior Communications Advisor – Corporate Communications to communicate the organisation’s work across a range of channels and engage the community in action to prevent violence against women and their children. 

Reporting to the Manager, Media & Communications and working as part of cross-functional project teams, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the organisation’s corporate communications activity including publications management, brand management, newsletter development and distribution, event management and internal communications. You will also develop and implement communications strategies for cross-organisational projects.

A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field and extensive experience in planning, developing and implementing corporate communications activities across an organisation are essential for this role.  

This is a Fixed term full-time position to 30 June 2018.
