Senior Advisor, Engagement

Our Watch is a national, independent not for profit organisation established in 2013 to drive nationwide change in the culture, behaviours and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children.  Our vision is an Australia where women and their children live free from all forms of violence.  Our mandate is to stop violence before it happens, and our purpose is to provide national leadership to prevent all forms of violence against women and their children.  Our work is based on sound research and strong and diverse partnerships.   This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer

About you
An engagement and communication professional with a commitment to primary prevention of violence against women and advancing gender equality. You will be a strategic thinker, with highly developed stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills, and experience in the development and execution of effective engagement and communication strategies. 

About the role
This is a key position for Our Watch, focusing on building relationships and fostering internal and external engagement, collaboration and opportunities with staff, government departments, corporate partners and other key partners. Working closely with Chief Executive Officer and Senior Executive Team, this role will coordinate the development and implementation of the Our Watch Strategic Engagement Strategy. The strategy will include components around strategic stakeholders, political and corporate engagement, and will support the representational, advocacy, partnership, and communications commitments of the CEO.
