Survivor media advocacy project

Our Watch is now seeking Expressions of Interest for partner organisations to implement Voices for Change – a survivor media advocacy project.

Our Watch will fund up to three partner organisations with $110,000 each to implement survivor media advocacy projects. The money is to be used for project implementation and to employ a dedicated project worker until June 30 2019.
A Media Advocacy Program enables women who have experienced violence to share their stories with the public through the media as a way to challenge the drivers of violence against women. The project trains and supports women in this important advocacy role. It assists women to be able to understand their experiences in the context of a society-wide, preventable issue.
Please note: because there already exist several survivor media advocacy projects in Victoria, the Expressions of Interest are open only to non-Victorian organisations.
Download the Expression of Interest and Application Form for more information. All submissions must use this application form.

Deadline for submitting an Expression of Interest is Close of Business of 18 June 2018.
