Natasha Stott Despoja given Queen’s Birthday Honour

Natasha Stott Despoja, Chair of Our Watch, has received a prestigious Queen’s Birthday Honour for ‘distinguished service to the global community as an advocate for gender equality, and through roles in a range of organisations’.

Announced in the Australian Honours List on Sunday 9 June, Natasha has been appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO), recognising her ongoing commitment to promoting gender equality, including through her work at Our Watch. 

Patty Kinnersly, CEO of Our Watch, said, “Natasha’s commitment to advancing gender equality is unwavering – I have seen her inspire people across the country and I am delighted that her efforts have been recognised through a Queen’s Birthday Honour.

“Congratulations Natasha - Our Watch is privileged to have you as our Chair. Thank you for being such a fantastic advocate for gender equality and working tirelessly to help prevent violence against women and their children.”
